L’Hiver en fête à Côte-des-Neiges : A 7TH EDITION FULL OF ACTIVITIES FOR ALL!

Montreal, January 12th, 2015 – L’Hiver en fête à Côte-des-Neiges will be held Saturday, February 7th, from 1 to 4 pm at Kent Park, located at the corner of Côte-des-Neiges Road and Kent Avenue. In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to February 21st 2015.

Several activities and games are organized by community agents, such as snow slides, hockey, broomball, sports tournaments, skating. The families are invited to participate to the activities, have a hot drink, a snack and maple toffee! All of these activities are free for the families. Skates will be available in exchange of a piece of I.D.

Since seven years, this festive event allows the families to enjoy the beautiful winter days and helps them discover the joys of winter, and many activities they can reproduce throughout the cold season.

As a reminder, L’Hiver en fête à Côte-des-Neiges annually attracts more than 2,800 people and is organized by Corporation de Développement Communautaire Côte-des-Neiges, Table de Concertation Jeunesse CDN, CDEC CDN/NDG, Centre Communautaire de Loisir de la CDN, Baobab Familial, Intervenant(e)s communautaires scolaires des écoles de la CSDM de CDN, Loisirs Sportifs CDN-NDG, Maison des jeunes de CDN, MultiCaf, Poste de quartier 26, Société environnementale de CDN, Centre communautaire Mountain Sights, PROMIS, les Amis de la Montagne, Centre de ressources communautaires CDN, in collaboration with the Bourough CDN—NDG

    Citizens Being Asked to Help Save Monarch Butterflies in Canada

Montréal, June 8, 2016 – The Insectarium, a Montréal Space for Life institution, 
in co-operation with the Institut de recherche en biologie végétale (IRBV), the 
Université du Québec à Rimouski, the University of Ottawa and the University of 
Calgary, is currently conducting a national scale study of monarch breeding 
habitats and asking citizens to get involved.
